Since 2011, Beds for Kids has empowered Charlotte families in need by providing beds and essential furniture to create stable homes. Serving Mecklenburg and Cabarrus counties, it delivered 3,920 beds and 31,074 furniture units to 1,406 families in 2024. With 80 referral partners, it ensures children and families have the furnishings needed for comfort and dignity.

Mission:To provide beds and essential furniture to children and their families in need.
Results:In 2024, Beds for Kids delivered 3,920 beds and 31,074 furniture units to 1,406 Charlotte families, a 40% increase from 2023.
Future Impact:By the end of 2025, Beds for Kids aims to serve 1,500 families and expand to additional counties beyond Mecklenburg and Cabarrus.

Feeding Charlotte INC

Founded in 2019, Feeding Charlotte INC rescues surplus meals from professional kitchens to feed hungry Charlotteans. Partnering with venues like Bank of America Stadium, it delivered 305,420 meals in 2024, a 560% increase from 2023. With over 380 volunteer drivers, it diverts 1.1M lbs of food from landfills, serving Mecklenburg County and surrounding areas.

Mission:To rescue surplus meals from Charlotte kitchens and deliver them to nonprofits feeding the hungry.
Results:Feeding Charlotte provided 305,420 meals over the past calendar year, grew food donors by 100%, and diverted 1.1M lbs of food.
Future Impact:Feeding Charlotte plans to rescue 1M lbs of food in 2025 while auditing partners for transformational impact.

Hearts for the Invisible Charlotte Coalition

Founded in 2020, Hearts for the Invisible Charlotte Coalition fights housing inequities for Charlotte’s unhoused. In a two year span, they served 1,133 neighbors, including 512 chronically homeless, achieved 661 positive exits and 214 permanent housing placements. Through outreach and advocacy, they provides emergency aid and case management to end homelessness.

Mission:To end housing inequities for Charlotte’s unhoused through outreach, advocacy, and stable housing solutions.
Results:From May of 2023 to May of 2025, HFTICC served 1,133 unhoused neighbors, achieving 661 positive exits and 214 permanent housing placements.
Future Impact:HFTICC aims to launch a peer-led emergency response program and scale our outreach team so that each CMPD division and surrounding town has a dedicated outreach worker.

Founded in 2017, West Blvd Ministry Inc. serves Charlotte's West Blvd corridor by mentoring young men through the WBM Stars Academy and neighborhood outreach. In 2025, it guided 30+ boys, raising their GPA by 0.52 and teaching life skills like swimming. It supports local schools with football equipment and fosters community ties with CMPD through BBQ For Blue.

Mission:To mentor young men and serve West Blvd families through outreach and community partnerships.
Results:West Blvd Ministry mentored 30+ youth in 2025, achieving a 0.52 GPA growth, teaches life skills which includes the life saving skill of swimming, and built CMPD ties through BBQ For Blue events.
Future Impact:West Blvd Ministry aims to add 10-15 young men to WBM Stars Academy and take them on a 2026 Spring Break trip out West.

Founded in 2008, Camp Twitch and Shout empowers kids aged 7-18 with Tourette Syndrome through a weeklong summer camp in Rutledge, Georgia. It serves campers with a safe space to connect, offering activities like swimming and archery. In 2025, it hosted 62 campers, with 50% of volunteers being former campers, fostering lifelong bonds.

Mission:To empower kids with Tourette Syndrome through a supportive summer camp and provide professional resources for their families.
Results:In 2025, Camp Twitch and Shout hosted 62 campers, with 20% on scholarships and 50% of volunteers being former campers.
Future Impact:By 2026, Camp Twitch and Shout aims to host 75-80 kids, offer full scholarships for children from Charlotte, and add more medical staff.

Through Thrive Index assessments, it strengthens leadership and operations for nonprofits serving diverse community needs.

Mission:To equip Charlotte nonprofits with training and resources for sustainable community impact.
Results:In 2024, Mission Charlotte assessed 49 nonprofits and trained 430 leaders, boosting operational strength citywide.
Future Impact:By 2026, Mission Charlotte will serve 200 nonprofits, train 500 leaders, and provide 100 coaching hours to enhance impact.

Alliance for the Mentally Ill Metrolina Chapter

Founded in 1971, the Alliance for the Mentally Ill Metrolina Chapter supports Charlotteans affected by mental illness with education and resources. In 2024, it served 675 in support groups, 900 via presentations, and 623 through its helpline. Its Navigator program and Ending the Silence initiative reduce stigma and connect Mecklenburg residents to care.

Mission:Guided by the experiences of those living with mental health conditions and rooted in equity, NAMI Charlotte provides advocacy, education, support and connections to resources so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build healthier lives.
Results:In 2024, NAMI Metrolina's programs educated 900, supported 675 in groups, and aided 623 via its Charlotte helpline.
Future Impact:By 2026, NAMI Metrolina will expand its Navigator to 1,100+ providers and deliver Ending the Silence to 10 Charlotte schools.

Since 2009, Let Me Run has used the power of running and a proven curriculum to help boys develop self-confidence, emotional awareness, teamwork, perseverance, and physical health. Headquartered in Charlotte, the program supports boys in grades 3-8 across the U.S. through a 7-week season culminating in a 5K celebration. The curriculum emphasizes comprehensive wellness and equips participants with strategies for honesty, courage, responsibility, relational skills, and active habits.

Mission:To inspire boys through the power of running to be courageous enough to be themselves, to build healthy relationships, and to live an active lifestyle.
Results:Let Me Run has served over 44,000 boys across 42 states with 10,600 volunteers, leaving them with skills to navigate life's challenges, build strong relationships, and make positive contributions to their communities and to the world.
Future Impact:By 2026, Let Me Run plans to refresh the curriculum, increase outreach to underserved boys, deepen impact in Charlotte, and enhance digital coach resources.

Since 1994, MiraVia Inc. has been a Christ-centered haven for pregnant mothers and children. Since 2013, its free College Residence welcomes pregnant students nationwide, providing housing and support so they can pursue education while caring for their child. The MiraVia Outreach Center aids 1,100+ women and babies yearly and partners with 30 pro-life groups for further support.

Mission:Respecting and affirming life from the moment of conception, MiraVia is a safe haven and source of hope for pregnant mothers and their children. Inspired by the examples of Mary and Joseph, MiraVia helps young families move toward a new life of hopeful, independent, and healthy living and educates the broader community on the importance of fostering a culture of life.
Results:MiraVia served over 2,500 mothers and babies in Charlotte via its outreach program in the past 24 months. 98% of babies are delivered after 38 weeks weighing over 5.5 pounds. 93% of mothers report a better quality of life.
Future Impact:MiraVia aims to enhance both its student housing and community outreach initiatives to support additional families in Charlotte within the next 12 months.
